Traditionally this autumn Sumy State University met an important guest, a lecturer of German Service of Academic Exchange (DAAD) – Martin Reuter, a coordinator of the program in Eastern Europe. The meeting and the presentation were organized with the support of Sumy State University Department of International Affairs. Martin Reuter presented programs and internship in Germany available for our students.
The program of the visit included:
- presentation of DAAD program.
- language test.

DAAD is an organization with the administrative center in Bonn. All German educational establishments participate. According to the words of Martin Reuter DAAD has the major part of students with scholarships – about 55 000 from all over the world.
The aims of the organization are the following:
- support of international cooperation in the sphere of higher education;
financing of programs of education and internship in Germany.
Sumy State University students got acquainted with 13 programs for Ukrainian universities. Scholarships for education or internship in Germany are counted on students, graduates, post-graduate students, young scientists and teachers of all kinds of specialties. Our students were especially interested in group trips to Germany that last up to 12 days.
Martin Reuter offered his help in getting extra information about scholarships, German universities that could welcome new students and interns.
On September, 25 students could pass the test in German online. This test is an obligatory part of the application file for a scholarship. The language test is held on the base of our university for all higher educational establishments of Sumy region for the second time.
The head of the department of international affairs Kostyantyn I.Kyrychenko thanked Martin Reuter for such a bright presentation and a Sumy State Universityred students, post-graduate students and teachers how important it was to participate and try to get a scholarship. Sumy State University has some positive experience in cooperation with DAAD.
